Words cannot express the thanks we feel for our church family and deacons for the support, cards, love, meals, and prayers we received during Dave’s illness and passing. A special thank you to Carla Vink, Ricardo Laranja, and Terry Plews, who provided a wonderful celebration of Dave’s life. And finally to Rev. Dan, whose support, visits, and uplifting service will always be treasured. Judy Tanis, Veronica, Alex, & Abrielle Turien

Coffee Hour Help Needed for the Next Two Sundays
We don’t have anyone to do coffee for the next two Sundays (March 14 & 21). Robin & Bill, who always take care of coffee hour if nobody has signed up, will be on a well-deserved vacation. Please help out if you can. It’s just a matter of starting the coffee, cutting the donuts, and setting the table. You don’t even need to pick up the donuts - we have a volunteer who does that.
Daylight Savings Time Begins Next Sunday!

Church Business Directory
Did you ever need a painter, a plumber, electrician, etc. and wonder if there was anyone from church who performed a certain service or had a business you could use? We’re going to make it easier for you to find out that information. At the February meeting, Session approved the implementation of an on-line church business directory. To advertise your business or service, simply drop your business card in the offering plate, or bring it to the office. We ask that you print a 1– to 3-word category you would like your card to appear under (i.e. Plumbing, Furnace Repair, etc.). We will scan your business card and put it on the website. It will also be linked to the weekly Headlines.

Deacon News
We had the privilege of serving our community this winter by offering food from our pantry to the following number of families:
January 2010 : 73 families, 136 adults, 66 children
February 2010* : 36 families, 71 adults, 50 children

Your Deacons at Work
In addition to our church ministry, God has inspired us to distribute your many donations to the Deacons with the following groups:
The Turien Children in Haiti - We sent a cash donation to help them survive the post-hurricane conditions. We look forward to meeting them when they move to Spring Lake and pray that the paperwork will be approved as quickly as possible!
Renucci Hospitality House at Spectrum Hospital - We bought some puzzles and books for this temporary housing unit for long-term patients.
Kandu Industries - We have a group of very dedicated handicap students that work in our pantry. We decided to donate for the furtherance of their program.
Kinderkirk - We donated to our SLPC preschool to help with student program costs.
Faith in Action - This is the mission headed by Tom Braak in Haiti.
The Youth Group Mission Trip - We rented a van for their trip this summer.
Glory be to God for these blessings! We praise Him for making it possible to share with other and further His work!
